Steel Coils Inspection & Testing

VICC carried out third party inspection for steel coils in a China factory, and collected samples for laboratory testing before the goods were exported to Columbia.

Inspection Scope

• Appearance inspection — surface defects, rust, scratches, edge damage and coil deformation.
• Dimensional verification — thickness, width and coil weight against the purchase order.
• Material verification — grade marking and mill certificates review.
• Sample collection — representative samples collected for laboratory testing.
• Laboratory testing — chemical composition and mechanical properties such as tensile, yield and hardness.
• Packing and marking inspection before loading.

With an objective inspection report and test results, the importer in Columbia was able to confirm the quality of the steel coils before shipment.
